The Genesee-Jefferson Neighborhood

Rich in culture, commerce, and community, the Genesee-Jefferson neighborhood on Rochester's west side is full-throttle into the process of capitalizing on its potential. $2.3 million will soon be applied to Jefferson Avenue's streetscape;concurrently the neighborhood and business associations, and city government are working together to bring the real and many assets of the neighborhood tothe consciousness of the wider community. Organizations such as the Southwest Area Neighborhood Association and Sector 4 Community Development Corporation offer the community everything from organizing, housing development, and advocacy, to a neighborhood band!
